The city's CBD was quiet on Tuesday morning, with carparks, streets and the few businesses that are still open open relatively empty.
The stay-at-home orders were brought in at 5pm on Monday after a young woman from Newcastle unknowingly travelled here while infectious with coronavirus.
There are only a handful of essential reasons to leave home, and police and health authorities are working to keep the community safe and on track.
It's not the first time Tamworth has been in lockdown - the Leader made a similar gallery way back in March 2020.
