The Swans wore special purple socks a fortnight ago to mark the occasion and through a range of fundraising efforts raised $3941.62.
It was a huge effort considering the home match had to be shifted to Armidale at the last minute.
"It was a bit of a mood changer but the support from both the men's and women's teams really changed that," Swan Bianca Hughes said.
The Post Office Hotel also supported the day with the pub's bar takeover bringing in $750.
"A big thank you to Couttsy [Post Office publican Andrew Coutts] and everyone that hung around that day - it was pretty amazing," Swan Naomi Burke said.
Hughes and Burke also made special mention of their partners for their help on the day.
"A special thank you to Todd and Ben. They did a lot of the moving of the heavy stuff and carted it to Armidale for us to have the day go ahead," Hughes said.
