Now in its fourth year, the DDB will take place on September 19. Organisers are expecting record numbers at this year's event in the New England high country.
The picturesque Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area will be home to the event, where all five distance events will start and finish.
There are distances to suit everyone: a 3km family friendly course and an 8km run to the base of Mt Duval.
For those eager to take on more challenging distances, the 15km, 30km and 50km courses will start from 1000m above sea level and will reach the heights of Mt Duval at 1400m.
"The community is really getting behind this event, with some fantastic sponsors and early registrations from competitors," the event organiser, Lee-Anne McKinnon, said.
