Tamworth Swans coach Paul Kelly said they "just ran out of legs" as the Inverell Saints stormed home from 24-points down to snatch a six point win in their AFL North West men's clash in Inverell on Saturday and level with them on 24 points.

Looking to bounce back from their disappointing one-point loss to the Tamworth Kangaroos the previous week, the Swans played some great football in the first three quarters to go into the final term up 9.9.60 to 5.6.36.
But they could only manage the one behind as the Saints kicked five unanswered goals to take the win 10.9.69 to 9.7.61.

"The last five minutes we just got over run," Kelly said.
"We had no rotations by that time and a few guys that had injuries but had to stay on the field."
They had gone up with only two on the bench.
Kelly conceded in the back of his mind he had thought if they "could get just a couple more goals" it would have been enough, but it wasn't to be.
But he thought overall given the circumstances they played really well.
They certainly played "a lot better footy" than they did against the Roos.
What he really liked about that first three quarters was their attack.
"Our attack on the footy was really really good," he said.
"We were very confident to use the ball, move it around and hold it up when needed."
Up the other end, what limited opportunities the Saints had the Swans backmen covered well.
Jack Richards kicked three and was one of the Swans best along with captain Adam Cruiskhank.
Dylan Beasley at fullback also did a really good job, Kelly said.
Young gun Rhyley Thom led the way for the Saints with three goals.
