The Swans claimed the inaugural cup with a 4.5 (29) to 1.6 (12) win on Tuesday night at No. 1 Oval.
It goes with their other win against the Roos earlier this season.
The night fixture - shifted from Saturday after the fields were deemed too wet to play on - added to the affair while the assembled crowd also enhanced the atmosphere.
It all culminated in a special night. Particularly for Swans captain Daisy George with one half of the cup named after her family.
"It means a lot to our family. Dad and mum, they've both done a lot of work for this club [Swans]. The Roos as well, we used to play for them," George, who first played for the Roos when the Swans didn't have a women's team, said.
After leading by four points at half-time, the Swans gained the ascendancy in the third quarter.
They snagged two goals to take a 15-point lead into the final break before keeping the Roos scoreless in the final term.

So busy was everyone on the field, George said she barely had the chance to look at the scoreboard while on the field.
"It didn't feel like we were winning at all at any point in the game. It was just so hard throughout all of it," George said.
"The Roos, I have to give them credit. From last time, they've improved so much but so have we. We just came out on top this game. It just felt good to win."
The match also brought ramifications on the women's ladder.
Heading in, the Swans and Kangaroos were equal on points but the win puts the Swans four points ahead and into third position.
