The seven-year-old turned his good form into a win to claim victory in the Coonamble Cannonball (1100m).
Sunday's win was Attila's first this preparation which has included five placings and a fourth from nine starts.
Attila and the Brett Robb-trained A Magic Zariz went head-to-head down the straight as they sprinted past all the other competitors.

The Grills gelding was too strong in the end to score by half a length.
"He went really well. I'm really happy," Grills said of Attila.
"He raced his usual pattern, it was a good ride by Mathew Cahill. He just sat back and timed his run well.
"He's been running well without getting a win and deserved that one."
Grills also took two other horses to Coonamble.
The Tamworth trainer was happy with both runs as Jesellix finished fourth and All I Wish For sixth.
It was All I Wish For's first race start.
"We wanted him to do everything right, which he did," Grills said.
Fellow Tamworth trainers Luke and Cody Morgan also tasted success on Sunday.
For Luke, Spirit of Pluto stepped up to 1200m for the first time to claim a maiden handicap win while Half Hinch won a Class 1 Handicap for Cody.
Jackson Searle rode both winners to pick up a double on the day.
Jake Pracey-Holmes also picked up a riding double with wins on Dancin' Dude and Avalicious.
Racing returns to the Tamworth Jockey Club on Friday as the club hosts a eight-race showcase meeting.
