TAMWORTH Public School students have honoured those who have and continue to serve the country at a special Anzac Day ceremony.
On Thursday, the school body gathered under the COLA for a student-led assembly.
The kids donned their own handmade poppies as they filed into the ceremony, and Orlando Follington and Mia Burgess raised the Australian flag to half-mast.
The school found it necessary to hold an event to pay respect and show gratitude to personnel of the Australian Defence Force and veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This is because there won't be an Anzac Day march at this year's Tamworth ceremony because of COVID-19 restrictions.
