Punters and fashionistas were joined by those just looking for a good time, and none left disappointed.
Words of praise abounded for the spectacularly green race track - kept in tip top shape by tenacious groundsmen.
And despite a dismal looking weather forecast, the rain and thunderstorms held off while all the action took place.

The main race, The Tingha Cup, was taken out by the Peter Sinclair-trained and Jacob Golden-ridden Liberty Head, who beat Tingha's favourite Yvette Lewis riding Folkstone by a nose to deny Tamworth trainer Luke Morgan a treble for the day.
Morgan had earlier won the opening race with Littlebit Longtime. Two races later Bumrah, ridden by Lewis, saluted.
