"Norville" will reopen for the first time in some years, to day visitors, over the Easter weekend. The owners have been renovating and still very much a work in progress but this is a chance for anyone interested to see where they are up to and also their small contribution toward local tourism. See Crop Circles (farming art), Peacock Family, new and current projects ...not to mention possibly The Ghost of Elizabeth Vine. Plenty of picnic spots. 9am to 4pm, Friday 2nd to Tuesday 6th, inclusive. No entry fee nor donation asked. Norville is on Scotts Creek Road, north east of Murrurundi. The Midnight Gang

This play is based on the novel of the same name by comedian David Walliams, this is a tale of nighttime adventures and evil matrons is sure to strike a chord with kids and their carers alike. Midnight Gang, March 26 (12.30pm) and 27 (12pm), Capitol Theatre Tamworth, Centrepoint Shopping Centre, Peel Street. For children 6-12 and their carers. Check with venue for tickets.
Film festival

The regional section of the Sydney Film Festival will arrive in Tamworth on March 26-28, bringing with it a showcase of films from Another Round and The Truffle Hunters to A Son, Only Animals and Ottolenghi and the Cakes of Versailles. In total there will be seven films and two documentaries screening. It's a great opportunity to catch some of the best flicks around, popcorn in hand. Forum 6 Cinemas, Tamworth, March 26-28. Coming Up
After a year off, the Gunnedah Country Music Muster will be back with some foot stomping fun in March. The line-up includes Grant Luhrs and Bob Easter. Gunnedah, various, March 24-26. Tickets are $20 a person a day. Bookings 0428 486 134.
Taste of Ireland
Plan ahead
If you like a bit of Irish music and dancing then this is the gig for you. 'A Taste of Ireland' is headed to Gunnedah with its world-class dancing and folk music mash-ups. Festival of Small Halls

The Festival of Small Halls is making its return to the Currabubula hall on Friday, April 9, with two national acts locked in. Byron Bay singer, ukulele strummer and drummer Bobby Alu and two-piece indie pop-rock band This Way North will feature on the upcoming Autumn Tour 2021 across NSW. The Festival of Small Halls will be held at Currabubula War Memorial Hall at 6.30pm on Friday, April 9.
Blindspot
New exhibit
A collaboration by five Tamworth-region artists is the focus of this exhibition on pain, loss and grief through lenses including digital projection and motion detection. Artists featured are Karen Balsar, Leah Dryden, Jodie Herden, Joanne Stead and Jody White. Tamworth Regional Gallery until March 28.

Uralla Museum is honouring cricketer 'Sunny Jim' Mackay with an exhibition that was opened on March 13 by award-winning author and journalist Malcolm Knox. Mackay was a right-handed opening batsman in the early years of the 20th century. Uralla Museum, Salisbury St, Uralla.
