Tamworth is set to get a new senior's housing development if Tamworth Regional Council approves an application set for Bligh Street.

The Development Application was submitted by Morphett Construction for Kirinari, who provide services for seniors, among other services.
It outlines plans for four dwellings, a communal living building and associated site works estimated to cost more than $1 million.

The application plans include preliminary artistic impressions of how the unit's will look like, plans created by Tamworth's D & C Projects.
It notes that a safe, continuous, step-free accessway is to be provided from the front boundary to the entry of the dwellings, with a minimum clear width of 1200mm and minimum vertical clearance of 2000mm.
The residences will be classified as "fully accessible" under the NDIS Specialist Disability accommodation Design Standard.
The 44 Bligh Street vision is currently on council's Development Hub open for community submissions, which close on March 22.
