A trio of Tamworth Cycle Club members did their club proud at the 2021 Federation University Road National Championships in Ballarat on the weekend.

Sam Hill competed in the elite men's division, Luke Deasey made the step up to under 23 men's division and Isla Maidment was in the junior women's division.
Hill led from the front and claimed his best result in the road race where he finished 18th.

He also competed in the criterium and came home in 29th position.
Maidment did not finish her criterium event but finished 21st in the road race.
Deasey had his best result in the time trial as he claimed 18th position.
Like Maidment, Deasey wasn't able to finish his criterium but came home in 69th place in the road race.
Meanwhile, a number of other cyclists - including Sam Jenner, Ryan Thomas, Michael Harris, Holly Harris and Brent Rees - from around the region competed at the nationals.
Top results from the weekend were secured by Brent Rees (12th) and Michael Harris (15th) in the elite men's criterium.
