Hosted by the Inverell Golf Club, the popular event attracted players from across the New England and North West as well as other areas in NSW and Queensland.
After combining to win Saturday's Forsyths Accountants fourball stableford with 52 points, Saunders and Fleming then placed 11th in the Hotondo Homes fourball stableford with 45 points to finish two points clear of Inverell locals, and Sunday's event winners, Jason and Lachlin Coakes (95 points).

Inverell's Dave McLennan and Andrew Walsh were runners-up behind Saunders and Fleming on Saturday with 50 points while Uralla's Trevor and Tim Murray were the gross winners on countback from Tony Baldwin and Luke Streater (Gunnedah).
On Sunday, local combination Anthony Hyde and Steve Glover took second with 49 points from Matt Reece and his grandfather Kevin Campbell.
Gunnedah duo Michael Osmond and Shane Wilson won on gross from Baldwin and Streater.
Trent Irwin took out the lead-in Tait HINO 9-hole Dash for Cash on the Friday with 20 points.
Club president, Bob Watson, thanked all involved in the day giving special thanks to the organising committee led by Matt Warrell and John Coote, and chief greenkeeper Ben Watling.
