It stands for what is at the core of Mel and Adam Vine's training operation: family.
The X stands for Xavier and the F for Fletcher. They are Mel and Adam's children, who are aged four and two.
The XF Racing name was born after the birth of Fletcher, to give the operation more of an identity, and the kids quickly bought in to the family-orientated values.
They are always keen to lend a hand.
"They're normally down there to help with the water or help Adam feed. Sometimes it's more to play with the water than filling the water up," Mel said, laughing.

Mel admits things can get pretty full-on at times but the kids absolutely love being around horses.
"It gets very hectic but we have to make it work," she said.
"They come along to all the racing meetings. I think Fletcher was only two weeks old and he was at his first race meeting.
"They know normally the weekend means racing."
The couple have been together since 2000 after meeting while Adam was attending Peel High School and Mel was at McCarthy Catholic College.
They married in 2005 but it was a decade later before their family grew.
"We had Xavier in 2016 after long struggles with IVF," Mel said.
Mel then fell pregnant naturally with Fletcher.
After his birth, the Vines donated embryos to a Sydney couple, who now have a son named Luke.
They met him in Sydney in October. They were back in December to celebrate his first birthday.
"We keep in touch and we often send photos to each other," she said.
Adam has always been around horses, which meant Mel "got right into horses" when the pair started dating.
Adam had his first runner back on February 22, 2008 when Cannon Ridge ran fifth at Quirindi. His first win came that same year, with Newgaze at Armidale.
Newgaze was his only runner that day.
On Saturday at the Tamworth Jockey Club's Ladies Race Day, the Vines will have just the one runner again.
Nardini Song will line up in the Rapid Tamworth Cleaning Solutions Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m).
The six-year-old mare will be out to score the stable's first win of the season.
"She's been going well. [She's] been unlucky with bad barriers, wet weather, no luck in running," Mel said.
"We're hoping to get some luck on the weekend. We've got a good distance, she likes the mile to 1900-2000m and it's nice to get her back to a weaker grade."
