Several other local thoroughfares remain shut off to traffic due to storm water.
The Newell Highway at Bellata is also still closed to travellers, because water is over the road.

SEVERAL Tamworth roads have been closed off to traffic after a deluge of rain drenched the city overnight.
Tamworth Regional Council confirmed a number of roads across the region have been closed due to flooding, with more expected to be shut off in the coming hours.
Roads closed in Tamworth include Duri-Dungowan Road, Daruka Road, Davidson's Lane, O'Briens Lane, Burgmanns Lane, Warral Road, Wallamore Road, Tregarthan Road, Dunoon Road, Scott Road, Whitehouse Lane, Limbri-Weabonga Road, Back Woolbrook Road and Fisher Lane.
Roads closed elsewhere in the region include the Higgins Street crossing and the causeway on Rushes Creek Road near Manilla, along with the Williams Street causeway in Barraba.
Tamworth Regional Council urged everyone to drive with caution and always obey road signs.

Tamworth copped an intense downpour of rain overnight, with more than 94mm of rain dumped on the city since 9am Monday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) weather gauge at Tamworth airport.
Local residents took to social media to report the totals caught in backyard gauges.
An East Tamworth resident reportedly collected more than 100mm of rain, there was apparently about 106mm dropped at Kootingal, 99mm in South Tamworth, 96mm at Dungowan, 95mm in North Tamworth, and up to 97mm in Dungowan.
It was a wet December night for the city, with most of the rain falling late on Monday and in the early hours of Tuesday.
The Peel River was on flood watch, but the BoM issued a third and final flood warning for the river just before 6am on Tuesday.
It said the river was expected to stay below the minor flood level and no further flooding was expected.
The BoM forecast shows there is a high chance of more rain coming on Tuesday.
