The Tamworth Track Open is on Saturday afternoon but before that some of the state's best junior riders will race.
The first part of the carnival will see the NSW U15 & U17 Sprint Championships held.
Then, the Open races - which will see under 9s through to seniors compete - will be held to close out the carnival.

There will be scratch races and handicap races as well as the Keirin but there will be one race people will have their eye on.
"The main one is a wheelrace," Tamworth Cycle Club president Daniel Nash said.
"It's the John Cooper Golden Mile Wheelrace and you have to qualify for it . There's $500 up for grabs in that."
Nash expected the Tamworth club to be right up there at the open. He thought the O'Connors - Luke, Isobel and Eliza - as well as Sam Spokes, Isla Maidment and Toby Wright would go well.
