"Am getting wildly different results from different labs, but most likely I have a moderate case of covid. My symptoms are that of a minor cold," the Tesla founder wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
On Friday, Musk wrote he had received two positive test results and two negative for the virus.
"Something extremely bogus is going on," he said.
Musk has often played down the danger from the coronavirus and criticised measures such as the closure of stores and industry in California.
He disliked the fact that Tesla's main manufacturing plant near San Francisco had to remain closed.
