Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) sport and recreation manager Paul Kelly told the Leader that if everything goes along swimmingly, the pool gates should be open to the public in the first or second week of December.
Mr Kelly confirmed remediation works to get sections of concrete at the facility up to scratch are almost finished.

The next step is taking down the scaffolding and clearing up the work site.
Then, the water is set to pump in.
"Once the pool has started to fill it will take approximately three weeks for staff to run all testing to make sure it is functioning to industry standards," Mr Kelly said.
The public will make a splash at the city pool on Kable Avenue for the first time in 18 months, after the city dropped back to Level 3 water restrictions.
