Tamworth Swans Netball Club have capped off an incredible first season by taking out the August round of the #GreaterNewEngland community funding program.

For winning this month's community vote, the fledgling netball club have received a financial boost of $3000 that will go towards buying new training equipment, uniforms and covering their ongoing operational costs.

The club was formed this season as part of the Tamworth Swans AFL Club, and entered three teams - an A-grade team and two B-grade teams. Their aim is to encourage members to be active, confident and have fun through netball.
According to Tamworth Swans Netball Club Co-ordinator, Hannah McKenzie, winning the #GreaterNewEngland funding is a welcome boost.
She said: "It's been an exciting year for the Swans ... The extra funds will make such a difference to what we can offer our players and means we can make next year even bigger and better."

Also sharing in this month's funding were the Tamworth BJP Physie Club and the Gunnedah & District Pony Club, who both received $1,000.
Greater Bank's regional manager, Jennifer Smith, said it was wonderful to see the #GreaterNewEngland funding program provide invaluable support to a local sporting organisation.
