Tamworth Meals on Wheels is in need of reusable, sustainable and safe face masks, and are calling on the community to make some for them.
Peter Gallagher, manager of Tamworth Meals on Wheels, says what they are required to do now means more work and equipment, however it's worth it.
Demand for their services has increased tremendously during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I think we have seen a 20 per cent increase in how many people we deliver to," he explained.
"However we have also had a few more volunteers sign up - but we could always use more."
The value of their trips, while always valued, has now been treasured beyond measure.
He says any masks made by the community would not only help those volunteers wearing them, but also the people they visit and the wider community.
"At the moment we are not using masks unless we enter homes.
"But but if the COVID crisis becomes more prevalent in the Tamworth area, we will be implementing masks for volunteers and drivers."
He said if the recommendations become rules, purchasing disposable masks for the team may impact on the services they can provide.
"The cost of the disposable masks over a long period would impact our ability to deliver these services," he said.
