The hard work paid off for Gunnedah FC as they accounted for Quirindi 5-2 in their Northern Inland Premier Division clash in Gunnedah on Saturday.

Rob Pryor scored his first goal of the season and Zac Crowhurst a double to lift them to their second win of the season.
"It was a really well-deserved win," FC coach Andy Cygan said.
"We played well, knocked the ball around and didn't give them many chances."

They probably could have scored a few more goals but he said the Quirindi keeper made a lot of good saves in the second half.
With only one game remaining in the first round, Cygan is pretty happy with how they are travelling.
"Everything is going to plan at the moment," he said.
They had expected to struggle the first few weeks after drawing the two competition powerhouses in Oxley Vale Attunga and Tamworth FC, and North Companions, but knew they would improve. Which they have.
It was a big effort on Saturday on and of the off the field with an army of volunteers - buckets and brooms in tow - working hard from early in the morning to get the fields in playable condition for both the local junior, and premier league, games.
They did have to juggle the fields around a bit, but they got on.
They were the only premier league game to go ahead with Tamworth council-owned Gipps Street, Riverside and Marius Street fields all closed.
FC also got the points in reserve grade, 6-nil, Rowan Keeler bagging a hat-trick.
