A 30th minute goal by Gunnedah captain Matt Williams was followed by goals from Matt Daley (50th minute) and Harley Cheetham (65st minute).

It was the first time Gunnedah had played a fellow new top-tier side, after losses to OVA, Tamworth FC and North Companions in the opening three rounds.
Pre-match, Gunnedah veteran Matt Davis was confident of beating Souths and then stringing a number of wins together.
His teammate, Peter Williams, said Gunnedah "deserved" the win after "working hard".
"So really happy with the outcome," he said.
