Just after 12pm on Saturday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was on its way to carry out an urgent medical transfer from Moree Hospital.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, had received multiple injuries after falling from a roof.
The helicopter, however, had to be diverted to a property in the area with news of a young boy had been seriously injured in a motorbike accident.

The 10-year-old suffered multiple serious injuries, and had to be stabilised by ASNSW Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.
He was then airlifted to Tamworth Base Hospital in a serious condition for specialist treatment.
