THE SPECIALTY coronavirus screening clinic at Tamworth hospital has wrapped up after three weeks of operation and thousands of swabs taken.
More than 3000 people had been screened at the clinic by the time it closed for the night on Thursday.
Despite the huge increase in testing, not a single test done at the clinic had revealed a confirmed case of the infection, as at the latest update from health authorities.
The clinic shut at 4pm on Friday, after opening on April 27 and being extended twice by Hunter New England Health (HNEH).
Tamworth's confirmed case count remains at 13, a number unchanged since April 17.
HNEH confirmed there are no active confirmed COVID-19 cases in Tamworth.
Locals can still arrange a coronavirus test through their GP or hospital emergency department.
Three towns in the New England North West are next in line for specialty clinics, with more set to open on Monday.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson announced on Friday HNEH would open a specialty walk-through clinic at Gunnedah hospital.
It will open between 8am and 4pm on weekdays but locals must book an appointment at the clinic by calling 6741 8000.
HNEH is trying to map the occurrence of COVID-19 in the community by increasing testing rates in places with relatively low screening numbers.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall also announced on Friday there would be drive-through testing services opening in Inverell and Glen Innes on Monday.
Both services will open at the local hospitals and swabs will be taken on weekdays from 1pm to 3pm.
Tests must be booked in by calling 6721 9520 for Inverell or 0438 925 949 for Glen Innes.
A drive-though testing service in Armidale also officially wrapped up on Friday, with more than 1000 people tested since April 27.
Authorities have urged anyone with respiratory or flu-like symptoms to get tested.
