The underground drain which runs diagonally across the intersection of the New England Highway (Bridge Stree) and Salisbury Street will be cleared of obstructions and graffiti, and repainted.
Work will be carried out from Monday, May 18 between 7am and 5pm on weekdays and is expected to be completed in two weeks.
The car park near the intersection of Salisbury Street and the New England Highway will be closed while work is carried out, with traffic control and a reduced speed limit in place for the safety of workers and the community.
