Online is the cool new place to hang out for the region's youth as the COVID-19 crisis forces people to stay inside.
Youth Week kicked off on Wednesday and activities will be run through Facebook, Instagram, Netflix Party and the Tamworth Regional Council website every day until April 9.
People 14 to 24 years old are encouraged to join in on activities like a short story competition, a best photo contest, an online movie night and Facebook live videos from leaders in the community.
"Youth Week is normally about bringing together the youth in our region, sharing memorable experiences, connecting them with specific youth services and having fun," Tamworth Regional Council youth services team leader Katey Allwell said.
"While being together physically isn't an option this year, we knew it was important to provide an opportunity for our youth to connect, share, learn and have fun."
Some special guests have already been announced, with expert talks from the Gomeroi Dance Company and the Salvation Army on the program.
"We hope that those who have the opportunity to get involved will and that parents with kids at home will encourage their children to take part in some of the great activities we have organised" Ms Allwell said.
Information about getting involved can be found at www.tamworth.nsw.gov.au/youthweek.
