If there was an event that epitomised Michael Adams, this weekend's charity golf day in his memory would be close to it.

There will be golf, a game he was keen on, and there will be people. Lots of them.
See, Mr Adams loved people. He loved talking to them. He loved getting to know their stories.
"He was an absolute genius of remembering people's name. He'd only have to meet them once," friend Ken Muller said.
"He'd talk to anyone about anything. He loved it. He loved people."
"He always made the effort," Amy Adams, Michael's daughter, added.
On Saturday, 180 people will hit the greens at the Longyard for the Michael Adams Memorial Golf Day while many more will be at the clubhouse afterwards to remember the former rugby league international.
All the while they will be raising money for the Melanoma Institute and Harrison Frear.
They are two places that Amy said her father had a personal connection with. And where he'd like to see the money go.
Mr Adams was good friends with Harrison's - who was involved in a car accident back in 2018 - dad Phil and would often play golf together.

As for the Melanoma Institute, Amy was diagnosed with stage two melanoma in 2015 which then travelled into her lymph nodes.
Amy's cancer has been in remission for five years now thanks to a trial drug she was put on which required her to travel to Newcastle every three weeks.
"Dad came with me every single trip. He'd drive me down and stay with me while I had my treatment," Amy said.
"I just know it would be important for Dad that we raise some money for the Melanoma Institute and try and raise awareness around melanoma as well."
The Michael Adams Memorial Golf Day will kick off with the first tee-off at 7am.
The last golfers are expected to return to the clubhouse at 5pm when an auction and raffle will be held.
Among the prizes include signed NRL jerseys, holiday accommodation and golf vouchers while former rugby league players John Peek and Chris Anderson will be in attendance.
Residents are invited to head out to the Longyard clubhouse throughout the day to buy a raffle ticket and have a yarn.
"He'd be pretty chuffed [about the golf day]," Amy said.
"Just everyone being together, catching up, having a few drinks and doing what they enjoy. Whether that's playing golf or catching up with family and friends."
