The rescue helicopter was called from Newcastle on Tuesday to Gunnedah hospital to assist with a sick woman.
The helicopter's medical team stabilised the 47-year-old patient who was suffering a medical condition.
She was then flown to Tamworth hospital and was believed to be in a stable condition.

The Newcastle-based chopper was tasked after the Tamworth helicopter was called to Glen Innes, shortly beforehand.
An 86-year-old woman was suffering a medical condition, the rescue service said.
She was treated at the hospital and then airlifted to Armidale hospital. Her condition was unknown.
On Monday, the Tamworth chopper was tasked to Chaffey Dam to a single vehicle accident.
The injured woman was later transported to hospital by ambulance after being treated at the scene by the chopper's on board medical crew.
