The Tamworth export had eight rebounds and four assists, in almost 30 minutes of action.
He was much more effective offensively on Friday night, scoring 21 points in Perth's 99-95 win over 36ers in Adelaide. The win moved them to second on the ladder behind the Kings, where they remain after Sunday's victory.
Against the 36ers, Kay enjoyed a big second half and fittingly iced the victory from the free throw line with six seconds left after Ramone Moore's drive had made it 97-95. Kay, Perth's top scorer, also had eight rebounds and five assists.
Against the Breakers, reigning premiers Perth enjoyed being back at home after five-consecutive games on the road.
Bryce Cotton was on fire from the opening tip-off, scoring the first nine points for the Wildcats on his way to a game-high 34.
The Breakers' early resistance was led by Brandon Ashley who fouled out of the game midway through the final term with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Corey Webster dropped 11 of his 23 points in the third term to keep the visitors in the contest.
