Until then, Tamworth ratepayers and businesses remain on Level 5 water restrictions.
Since its peak in May, 2017 Chaffey Dam, our main water supply, has fallen from 98.6 per cent capacity to 19.41 per cent capacity as of October 7.
Dungowan Dam is in a similar situation.
Above are some tips on how to save water.
Before embarking on those tips, carry out an audit of your home's water efficiency.
First check your water bill to see how much water you use. (You can also conduct a daily reading of your water meter for a week.)
Now take a look around your home and see where that water is mostly being used.
Obvious candidates include the bathroom and kitchen, however, check out your laundry and garden and check for any water leaks.
A rough guide is, sink taps should not exceed more than 12 litres per minute; hand basins, 6 litres a minute and shower flows, 9 litres per minute.
Think about taps that may be inadvertently left on, or possible leaks coming from an outdoor hose, for example.
Now you can aim for using just 150 litres of water per day per person.
That's the target Tamworth Regional Council has set for households to aim for during the current Level 5 water restrictions.
The biggest user of water is washing clothes; many washing machines easily use up to 401 litres with just one load.
Dishwashers can draw upon up to 250 litres of water in one cycle.
Small changes, such as using your washing machine or dishwasher only when it is full, can have a big impact on reducing water consumption.
During these current water restrictions, remember not to use any town water outside your home, including for watering your garden (grey water is acceptable).
Pools cannot be filled or topped up and irrigation of industrial or commercial green spaces is banned.
Tomorrow will come and with it, the rain.
Until then, let's pull together as a community to conserve our much needed water.
