Back in my day, a whole 20 years ago, a trip to the principal's office would have landed you in even hotter water at home.

Tamworth, you've made it clear that you're tired of all the doom and gloom. We've listened.
It's Good News Week come Monday and our journalists have exclusively sourced stories to make you smile, one started with a garden party and ended with a letter from Her Majesty the Queen.

It's the long weekend, so head down to Tamworth's first Pride Fair in Bicentennial Park on Sunday, or crack open a cold one on the back deck and enjoy what's supposed to be a balmy weekend.

Cheers,
