Pirates trio Phoebe McLoughlin, Amy Raphael and Miah O'Sullivan, Glen Innes' Amelia Tunamena, Narrabri's Lauren Nott and Scone's Lucy Prudden have been named in the Country squad for the Chikarovksi Cup to be held on the October long weekend.
Forming an important part of NSW Rugby's pathway to elite women's rugby, the tournament also provides an opportunity for talent identification for the 2020 Buildcorp Super W season and will see the Country side play against two Sydney representative teams.
The squads will now undertake a training program under the watchful eye of pathways program coordinator and Super W head coach, Matt Evrard.
It is shaping as a particularly busy time for McLoughlin and O'Sullivan with both to feature in the Aon University Sevens series, which kicks off on September 14 at the University of Queensland.
