After pulling off a thrilling extra-time victory against Ballina's Xavier Catholic College on Tuesday, the Darren Desmid-coached side were outclassed in their quarter-final going down 10-nil.
Desmid knew heading into the game it was going to be a tough ask for his side with Hunter having beaten Great Lake College Foster 9-nil in their round of 16 clash.
"It was always going to be very difficult when they've got the depth that they've got and we've got girls that were pretty busted," he said.
He said they held them out for the first 12 minutes or so, but the goals flowed readily after that.

"They gave us a lesson," Desmid said.
"They were a very impressive team, very well-structured."
Believed to be the furthest Oxley has reached in the nationwide competition, Desmid said making the final eight was a great achievement and couldn't have been prouder of his side.
They were missing three of their of their regulars with Emma Allen, Nakeisha Burgess and Milla Thompson currently touring Brazil with the Australian under-15 girls futsal side.
Even with their strongest side on the park though Desmid doubts whether they would have got close to Hunter. They were that good.
"It was good to watch them play actually," he said.
"When you've got that level of skill, it was nice to be able to see what they can do."
He added that it was a good chance for his side to see that next level of football with most of the Hunter side involved with the Emerging Jets or other elite programs.
