A WOMAN has been charged with dangerous driving after a crash that seriously injured her passenger between Tamworth and Uralla.

The 34-year-old woman was charged on Monday with offences stemming from the crash on the New England Highway on the morning of June 13.
Police said the Holden Commodore was headed north along the highway from Bendemeer towards Kentucky when it crossed to the wrong side of the road, and hit an embankment, about 10.10am.
A 69-year-old man, who was a passenger, was trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by emergency services.

He suffered a fractured right wrist and ribs and was taken to hospital.
The 34-year-old behind the wheel was not injured in the crash, police said.
The crash closed the road and specialist investigators from Tamworth were called in to piece together the circumstances leading up to the accident.
After investigations by crash officers, the driver is facing charges of driving in a manner dangerous, negligent driving, causing bodily harm by misconduct while behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, and not keep left of a dividing line.
She was issued a notice to front court in Tamworth in September.
