At about 1am on Wednesday, June 12, officers from New England Police District were travelling south on Frome Street, Moree in a marked police vehicle, when a Toyota Rav4, believed to be stolen, began to travel closely behind, driving erratically and shining a bright light into the rear of the vehicle.
When police attempted to turn right into a carpark, the Rav4 purposefully rammed the rear right corner of the police vehicle, causing it to spin 180 degrees and end up on the opposite side of the road.
