If the week in politics is anything to go by, we're in for a bit of a wild ride heading into the federal election.
Barnaby Joyce was in the news again over an $80 million water buyback, back when he was water minister. Does it pass the pub test? Who are we to judge (Well, just the voters).
Either way the race is on, with eight contenders lining up at the starting gate. This should be fun!
Anzac Day caused us to pause during the week.
As usual services right across the region were very well attended.
The Dawn Service was led by the first female president of the Tamworth RSL sub-branch in its 101 year history, Jayne McCarthy.
"Their legacy has become the benchmark of courage, mateship, humour and determination for all to live by, so much so that it has become a part of our national identity, and it is no more apparent than in those who wear a uniform and defend our nation," she said.
And reporter Madeline Link caught up with a very special lady, War widow Ethel Clegg, as she walked in her last Anzac Day parade.
Take the time to read her story here.
I know that's a rather difficult note to end this week's email on, but I believe it's worth thinking about.
Catch you next week.
