UNDER the shade of London Plane trees in Anzac Park, Amy Robinson is hard at work.
The savvy businesswoman has come up with a unique idea, to create luxury picnic and grazing board experiences for first dates, birthday's and even marriage proposals.
My Perfect Picnic started in September last year, marketed mainly through Instagram, Facebook and word of mouth Ms Robinson is booked for at least three picnics a week.
"I'd been tossing and turning with the idea, I noticed Tamworth didn't have many options for a date night other than going for dinner," she said.
"I thought there was a real gap in the market and so far it's been successful."
Behind the scenes Ms Robinson sets up the picnic, buys and prepares the platter and adds her extra touch of something special.
The biggest one she's hosted was for up to 40 people, some can take a full day to set up.
It was important to source the food locally where possible, Ms Robinson said.
"For the fruit and veges we always go to Farmer Bob's and we source the cheese locally as much as we can, but of course German cheeses are hard to get in Australia," she said.
"Honestly the best bit about the job is when they arrive and you can see the wow factor in their faces, most people haven't seen anything like it.
"We want to create a quality, stress-free experience for guests, we don't want them to have any stress just to turn up and relax."
Inspired by Pinterest, even loungeroom designs can be a starting point for a picnic colour scheme.
Also in the basket are lawn games, a Polaroid camera, and essentials like mozzie spray, a Bluetooth speaker, sunscreen and wet wipes.
Most recently Ms Robinson has started to host high teas.
"The market is really telling me what it wants, I even do kids parties - I'm just listening to what customers have to say and then giving them what they want."
