The Tamworth teacher has been given a prestigious Champions of the RAS Award for her hard work behind the scenes at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Involved in the cattle section for 27 years, the Calrossy Anglican School agriculture head teacher has brought students to exhibit in the cattle and steer sections since 1988.
"I look forward to coming to the show each year, preparing and working with a wonderful group of teachers and students while learning from experienced cattle breeders and industry experts," she said.
"Both myself and my students have been so fortunate to interact with such a diverse group of talented men and women, who promote the sustainable production of food and fibre.
"And, have a passion for making a positive contribution to rural communities."
Every year the Royal Agricultural Society recognises the contributions of around 15 dedicated individuals in the state for their commitment to the Sydney Royal Show competitions and impacts on rural industries.
