Of course, probably half of Tamworth had already voted in the weeks leading up to polling day, which is funny, because the town looked pretty busy yesterday morning.
I guess that just means everyone was "going away" in the afternoon?
It really does make a mockery of needing to be around for election day. Perhaps we should consider election fortnights, in future, or give more thought to online voting as an option for everyone.

Of course the election itself was somewhat overshadowed this week, in the wake of the Christchurch attacks.
The Muslim community in Tamworth and Armidale stopped to add their voice to the chorus of sympathy from around the world, on Friday. Standing in solidarity against pure evil.
We stand with them.
