Aaron described being reunited with the fast-bowling star as "special". They last played together when North Tamworth beat Old Boys in the 2007-08 grand final.
Following the loss, Josh moved to Sydney - igniting one of the great Australian cricket careers.
Still recovering from a back injury as Australia tours India, Josh will play as a batsman for Old Boys, who have already sealed the minor premiership, in their final-round, two-day clash against second-placed City United.
Josh, 28, trained with Old Boys at Oxley on Thursday night. Aaron, 29, said his brother's appearance "attracted a lot of young kids".
"Everyone just wants to quiz him and rack his brain for his knowledge and experience," he said. "It doesn't happen very often that you get a Test cricketer come back and play for your local club.
"It's really good for the town and country cricket itself … It's a pretty special thing, really."

After recovering from a bad bicep injury, Aaron took nine wickets and posted an 80-ball 104 in an outright defeat of Bective East last round, as Old Boys stretched their winning streak to seven matches.
"I've been quite happy with my form of late … So hopefully I can impress the little bro and we can notch up another win for Old Boys."
City have lost their past three matches, and only about 10 points separate them from fourth-placed North Tamworth. It is a four-team final series.
In other matches on Saturday, last-placed Bective and third-placed Souths meet at Riverside 2, while fifth-placed Wests and fourth-placed Norths meet at Riverside 1.
