The venue’s location, in the Centrepoint Shopping Centre on the first floor opposite the Forum 6 Cinemas, will make the centre a hub for entertainment in Tamworth.
Tamworth Tenpins and More proprietors Ken and Pauline Gausden have more than 90 years’ experience between them operating bowling centres across Australia.
Tamworth local Jay Gordon will manage the bowling centre.
“The bowling centre and arcade machines have had a complete makeover,” Ken said. “The latest pinsetter machines from Germany have been installed.
“The computer scoring is state-of-the-art and supplied by an Australian company.
“New arcade redemption games have been purchased, with greater emphasis on family fun.”
Tamworth Tenpins and More will cater for competition bowlers as well as customers looking for a fun experience.
Ken said the centre was accredited with Tenpin Bowling Australia.
“All competition bowlers will be registered with the TBA,” he said.
“Pop-up bumpers and special light weight bowling balls will be available for children.
“We have purchased a ‘smart house ball system’ and this will make finding that right ball to roll an easy chore.
“We especially cater for people with a disability.
“Easy access to the lanes, ramps and gutter bumpers plus the accompanying carer will receive one free game when playing with the client.”
Tamworth Tenpins and More will form a competition on Saturday mornings for people with a disability. There are opportunities for people with disabilities to play in annual championships at a state and national level.
Tamworth Tenpins and More will operate a café serving snacks and drinks; birthday parties and functions are catered for, with a choice of party food and a birthday party host available to assist with young children.
