Any timber which has fallen and is on the ground can be cleared and removed.
A tree or part of a tree may be removed if it is reasonably necessary to remove or reduce an imminent risk of personal injury or damage to property.
Lopping parts of the tree damaged by the storm is permitted.
A tree that is alive and does not pose an imminent risk is subject to the normal management requirements.
In relation to the storm damage, concerned landholders can contact Local Land Services to discuss management options.
Local Land Services is available to provide direct advice and assistance. Contact their helpline: 1300 778 080, Email: slm.info@lls.nsw.gov.au. Drop into your nearest Local Land Services office.
For land that is zoned by councils as an e-zone, landholders should contact their council.
