The local trainer, fresh of the back of an Inverell Cup victory with Try ‘N’ Run A Muck, is hopeful his two inexperienced horses Fields of Red and Onemorechoice will give a good account of themselves in the day’s second race.
“It’s really a bit of a show us what you’ve got type of things for both of those horses,” O’Neile said.
“It will be Fields of Red’s first run while Onemorechoice has only gone around the once.
“I don’t really know too much about either of them yet, it will be a bit of a learning curve for them and for me.”

O’Neile said while he hadn’t inspected the Tamworth track it looked “in good shape”.
“I haven’t had much of a chance to look at it yet but the when we’ve been working nearby it has looked pretty good,” he said.
“I’m not too sure what we’d be looking for in terms of strategy for the two runners, but I think whatever way we decide to go the track will help.”
As for Try ‘N’ Run A Muck, O’ Neile said he had big plans for the six-year-old.
“We were actually talking about this earlier today [Thursday] and it looks as though his next run will be the Glen Innes Cup,” he said.
“Failing that, he might make his way down to Canterbury for a night meeting.
“If he does go around at Glen Innes I would say he would be a pretty strong chance.”
- Friday’s racing begins at 1.20pm.
