The club fielded two sides on the day with South West Robins (1) boasting an unblemished record with two wins from two starts.
However, South West Robins (2) did not share the same luck, going down in both of their opening games.
Robins coach Adelaide Monika said she was pleased with the club’s first outings.
“Given that all of our players have come from different backgrounds such as league tag, rugby sevens and even other sports, it was a really great day for us,” Monika said.
“I think all of our players performed really well given they didn’t really know what to expect.
“There were some nerves for sure, but once everyone got into it they soon went away.”

Despite the mixed results, Monika said she was “blown away” by the skills on display throughout the day.
“Our tackling was really strong all day across both teams,” she said.
“While tackling might have been fairly new to a few of the girls, their techniques were really strong and will certainly hold us in good stead going forward in the competition.
“We got through the day unscathed in terms of injury which is good, now we will look to improve our passing and finishing our sets for the rest of the competition.”
Monika said the side would be bolstered by the addition of more players who were unavailable on Saturday.
“As well as those who couldn’t be there on Saturday, I think we have already locked in two new players for our next game on December 1,” she said.
“In saying that though, we are always open to having more players come along and give it a try.
“We will certainly try to fit everyone in somewhere and it would be great to see as many people as possible give it a go.”
