On the back of last year’s phenomenal community Christmas event the QHS P&C are holding their second QHS Christmas Lights and Market evening on Friday November 30 from 5pm till late at the school.
Santa will be there and there will be lots of free activities for children including a jumping castle, monkey maze and kids face-painting.
As well as the official lighting of the Christmas tree, Show Technology Australia and New Zealand have donated lights for the event and for the school grounds for the month of December.

Local primary schools will be joining in with market stalls and performances and Quirindi Rotary will be hosting the ever-popular Chocolate Wheel.
There will be over 55 stalls offering a wide range of gifts and presents just in time for the festive season, including stalls selling children and women’s clothing, handmade Christmas gifts, candles, and so much more.

As well as coordinating the event, the hardworking QHS P&C will host a cake stall, with the QHS SRC selling show bags and the QHS 2020 Overseas Trip selling fresh hot pancakes.
The event – which attracted over 1000 people past year – will feature live entertainment, gourmet hot dogs and milk shakes, Turkish gozleme a specialty cake stall and more in an entire area dedicated to food and drink for the event, all in the name of family fun for Christmas.
This community-focussed event will celebrate all that is joyous about our wonderful school and region and there is sure to be something for everyone, so book the date in your diary, invite your family and friends and gather in the cool green lawns at QHS for a night of shopping, festivities and Christmas wonder.
