The city was abuzz this week after Tamworth Regional Council announced it was partnering with high-flyer Virgin Australia to create a ‘world-class’ pilot training school.
The news shocked many because the city was vying – and had been one of nine shortlisted – for the Qantas pilot academy.
Virgin approached Tamworth about linking up for the historic partnership about five months ago.
Meanwhile, a coroner heard expert evidence from crash investigators, witnesses and police about the ‘catastrophic scene’ officers were presented with after two trucks crashed head-on in 2016.
But it was “the shocking discovery” of human remains a month later that has prompted a recommendation to the NSW Police Commissioner.
And, if the BBQ hasn’t already been fired up in the warmer weather, then it will be after you watch the BBQ man in action.
