The visitors claimed the spoils when the South Tamworth Bowling Club held their sixth annual ladies fours carnival.
26 teams from Woolgoolga, Park Beach, Tuncurry, Kurri Kurri, Kotara, Castle Hill, Port Macquarie, Uranga, Armidale, Dubbo and around Tamworth took to the greens over the two days.
The competition was tight with no side winning all five of their games and a countback required to decide the winners after two teams finished on four wins +17.
The Park Beach combination of J Morris, S Shirling, B White and J Woodford were declared the victors ahead of Woolgoolga’s R Gurber, J Barrett, C Boyden and L Kaufman.
Making their first appearance at the carnival the Uranga four of I Pettit, S Willis, B Fane and K McPhail were third just two shots back with the South Tamworth team of L Collins, F Hunt, J Northey and S Otte coming in fourth.
Kotara’s P Markey, J Handley, M Storrie and K Mulder also enjoyed first-time success placing fifth while West Tamworth’s T Fergusson, J Barnett, C Schipp and C Whitten were sixth.
