Tamworth Sports Dome, Tamworth Regional Youth Centre (The Youthie), Tamworth Regional Gallery, Tamworth City Library and other venues across the region have something for everyone, with activities to suit all ages, interests and abilities.
For a diverse range of physical, cultural and creative activities, The Youthie is the place to be.
Some of the free activities on offer:
Music Jam: For anyone who wants to learn to play a musical instrument and jam with other musicians, Music Jam is just the thing. Musicians aged twelve to eighteen are welcome to bring their own instruments or use one of those provided.
LEGO Robotics and Coding Workshop: Youths aged twelve to eighteen are invited to discover the power of LEGO Mindstorm EV3 robots in this exciting, two-hour workshop that explores how simple programs can control complex machines.
Wheelchair Basketball: Sports enthusiasts with disabilities and their able-bodied teammates are invited to join Wheelchair Sports NSW for a fun afternoon of wheelchair basketball games.
For those interested in a little more physical activity these holidays, Tamworth Sports Dome is the drop-off spot for you.
The centre will be running a multi-sport program on various days across the two weeks and is suitable for children of all sporting abilities between the ages of five and twelve. This all-day program is a great option for busy or working parents and carers who require some extra support during the school holiday period.

Young Inventors Electronics Workshop: In this free one-hour workshop, young inventors can experiment with the library’s easy-to-assemble electronics, with lights, buttons, counters, buzzers, motors, wheels and more. Attendees must be aged eight years and over.
Insect Hotel: A space where children five years and over can learn how to invite helpful bugs into their Spring garden with a DIY insect hotel.
30 Card Lego Challenge: A test for children five years and over to see who has what it takes to undergo 30 Lego Challenges in just one hour.
