Over 100 participants of all ages donned their running shoes, along with a few four-legged friends.
Unsure of competitor numbers until Sunday morning after opting to take registrations on the day rather than online, organisers were very happy with the turnout.
There were “well over” 60 for main 8km event, which race coordinator Lauren Robertson said was good.
Robertson said they took a more low key approach to this years event, which people seemed to enjoy, she said.
There was a real feeling of it being a community event.
“I just want to thank everybody that came and all the volunteers that rocked up,” Robertson said.
“They (volunteers) were from all three Rotary clubs.”
Peter Loveridge won the men’s 8km event in 29.41mins.
He crossed the line three seconds ahead of Josh McRae. Andy Smith, Simon Rafferty, Craig Stanton and Andrew Charlton rounded out the top six.
Cath Murray was the first female to finish. She clocked 36.25mins to beat home Brooke Stainton by just under a minute.
Charlie Abra, Sheridan Howe, Clarissa Campbell and Sophie Williams filled out the placings.
Harry Raymond won the 2km event with a time of 10.19mins.
He was followed by Mia Craker, Jake Hudson, Xanthe Hewitt, Isobel Bonner and Sienna Edmunds.
