The North West side had a tough time at the carnival but manager Keighan Roser said the boys “gave it their all” over the three days.
The highlight for the side came in the opening match on day two against Western.
North West beat Western 34-22 to clinch their sole win at the carnival.
“It was good to get a win,” Roser said.
“It was from good offence, smart passing, knowing where to be and good teamwork.”
On the final day, North West took on North Coast and fell just short, 37-36.
“We were leading the whole game and then lost it in the last seconds,” Roser said.
“It was a bit unfortunate to finish like that but it was a great game.
“We didn’t miss in the first quarter and offensively everything was going well.”
