Fantastic food, delicious drinks, a mystery location with a side of familiar faces and a twist of friends you haven’t met yet.
That’s right, it’s time for Downtown Magazine’s annual Dinner in White.
This year’s guests are in for a special treat, with the three course meal and libations a veritable feast of local produce, supplied by local businesses, including Barraba’s Swan Fine Foods, Ivory Lane Eats, Meralba Winery, The Tamworth Hotel, and a specialty Gin bar supplied by Clemengold Gin in conjunction with VAN.
Downtown Editor Anna Davis said that the chic dinner is fast becoming the “societal event of the year”, and while dressing in “all white might feel like a bit much, especially for men, it will be all worth it.”

“The Dinner In White is not a new concept, it originated in Paris more than 30 years ago, famously named the Diner En Blanc,” she said.
“Over the course of the evening, guests experience the beauty and value of their city's public spaces by participating in the unexpected. Beyond the spectacle and elegance of the dinner itself, guests are brought together from diverse backgrounds by good taste and a love of beauty.
“There are no disruptions - no car traffic, no pedestrian traffic – only amazed and astonished looks, and participants, like spectators, will wonder whether it's all just a dream.”
Just like last years’ hit event, held at Dungowan Station, tickets are selling fast as the mystery location has rumours swirling.
As of Friday there were only 40 of the 160 seats remaining.
Tickets are $170 and include all food, beverage, and entertainment on the night.
